How to Keep Your Face Warm When You Wear Glasses
November 29, 2011 by Kim In Category Skincare
Wearing glasses can be something of a challenge during the long winter months. They fog up when you walk inside and the rims can be cold and uncomfortable against your face. They can also hold snow and moisture, making it difficult to see!
It can also be a challenge to keep your face warm when you wear glasses. You can’t just put a ski mask over your face and trying to tie a scarf around your neck can interfere with how your glasses sit on your ears. So, what to do?
One thing to consider is your coat; does it have a collar that buttons up or zips up to your chin? If not, it may be time to get such a style so you can keep your neck warm without a scarf. Even if you don’t wear glasses, these can keep you more comfortable overall.
Another consideration is the type of scarf you wear. One that is oversized can constantly hit your glasses around your ears and knock them out of place. A smaller, knit scarf can be tied around the neck and keep you warm without interfering with your spectacles. Tying it can keep it in place even more.
Remember that keeping your face warm may simply be a matter of keeping yourself warm overall. Wear a hat to keep your body heat in. This may help your face to stay warm. Wear a few more layers; even a thin t-shirt under your other clothes can help to keep you toasty. This will mean your face is less cold and you won’t need to worry about your glasses as well.Related Stories:
