International Fashion Trends
Design is the key component that differentiates the fashion industry. The leading companies have constantly invested in diverse designs all in a bid to attract and maintain their customers. Fashion designers are in demand and sell like hot cake.
This cadre of employees work over time and consistently research with the view of coming up with a design that will outdo their rivals in the market. The design created should conform to societal expectations. However, it is not criminal to experiment and think out of the box on the ways of coming up with a unique design that will appeal to many. This level of unpredictability is what makes the designers command respect. This is due to the fact that fashion is in continuous motion and what is fashionable today may be nothing to look at tomorrow.
It is important to note that for a fashion designer to be termed successful he needs to come with a product that will stand the test of time and will remain in the memory of many for many years to come. A good design is one that will go round and re emerge in years to come. A good design should conform to the patterns and expectations of the target market in which it is aimed for.
This is due to the fact that people have different tastes and preferences that are at times influenced by their culture and their religious inclinations. It is thus necessary and sufficient that one should be very careful on the kind of design that one should come up with that will be acclaimed and accepted by the people in the locality. Religion is also a key component that will govern market demand for a particular design. A designer should be very sensitive to the religious connotations and beliefs of the people that he is targeting to sell to. For instance, it would be foolish to sell mini skirts to a highly dominated Islam market and thus designing with that target group in mind would be a far fetched dream.
International fashion trends can be used as a yardstick to gauge on economic growth and development of a region. This is due to the fact that a region that is developed will have a high turn over of fashion and design coming up over a short span of time. On the other hand, a region that is struggling in growth and development will exhibit tendencies of lee disposable income which will make people stick to the old fashions and trends that are affordable to them. This will in turn affect the fashion industry as new trends will not be highly welcome here.
It is thus necessary and sufficient to appreciate the role of fashion and design in the growth and development of an economy.Related Stories:
